As If I Cared: A Poetry Reading with Damian Gorman

its official launch this evening, As If I
Cared
is the new book from poet Damian Gorman.This long-awaited publication has already
enjoyed a limited release and has been praised as "beautiful",
"vital" and "hugely entertaining”. Renowned for his live poetry
readings, Damian brings his hybrid of selected poems and memoir to HomePlace
with immense pride and we are delighted to welcome him.


Damian Gorman is a poet, playwright and writing teacher.
Over the years, his own work has garnered awards as diverse as a Better Ireland
Award, a Golden Harp, a BAFTA and an MBE. Last year he was International Resident Artist
at the Theatre Peacebuilding Academy, and he is currently a Fellow of the
Oxford Initiative for Global Ethics and Human Rights.

For
this celebratory evening, he will be joined by some special guests in a
celebration of language and poetry.
