An Evening with Pat McCabe
McCabe is not a poet but come along and
hear him read Heaney and Durcan among
others as he recounts the story of his
writing life from Clones County
Monaghan to Dublin, London, USA and
back again. Meet Behan, Kavanagh and
various monsters from the deep along the
way… plus, a song on the guitar from Elvis.
The twice Booker-nominated author from
Clones is known for his novels set in smalltown
Ireland. His books include The Dead
School, The Butcher Boy, Breakfast on Pluto,
Winterwood, Poguemahone and Goldengrove.
