Yearbook

Yearbook

Overview

Using Seamus Heaney’s poem ‘The Schoolbag’ as a starting point, our Yearbookworkshop offers Primary 7 classes the chance to create a fun, decorative and, most importantly, personalised record of their primary school experience.

Pupils will reminiscence and reflect on their favourite school memories before creating their own unique and individual yearbooks – a lasting memento of their formative years. There will be plenty of arts and craft materials for decoration, and lots of room to include photos all the way back to Primary 1. We will capture and print lots of photos of the day, so pupils may include the trip to Seamus Heaney HomePlace amongst their special memories.

So…take a trip down memory lane and join us in marking your time at primary school!

Learning objectives:

During this workshop children will:

  • identify their own feelings and the feelings of others
  • identify feelings associated with different events
  • use a wide variety of words to describe how they are feeling

Yearbook workshop enables children to:

  • reflect on how they have developed as individuals
  • reflect on how they have developed relationships
  • reflect on how they have played an active and meaning part in the life of the community
