School visits for post-primary schools
For post-primary students, and especially those who are studying Seamus Heaney’s poems in depth, we are able to offer one of the best school trips in Northern Ireland.
Your pupils will be able to immerse themselves in the poet’s life, geography and subject matter to help the words come to life for your entire class.
Our education programme covers the Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 curriculum, as well as meeting the learning outcomes of many schools and universities worldwide. Educational activities available at HomePlace include:
- A creative writing programme
- A targeted lecture series based on the Seamus Heaney poems featured on the GCSE curriculum.
- An in-depth series of lectures and seminars created in conjunction with Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster around the Robert Frost and Seamus Heaney anthology studied by many students at A-level.
