'About The Place' August Events

July 11, 2018

‘ABOUT THE PLACE’ – a series of events inspired by the work of Seamus Heaney & WB Yeats

Seamus Heaney HomePlace and Mid Ulster District Council is delighted to be working with Sligo County Council, Tread Softly Festival and the Yeats Summer School to present a fortnight of events celebrating the work of two of Ireland’s Nobel Prize winners – Seamus Heaney and WB Yeats. This cross border working provides a great opportunity not only to connect our great literary works but also the people and places of Sligo and Mid Ulster.

This project has been support by the EU’s PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) in partnership with Mid Ulster District Council and Sligo County Council.
